A stopper for German lower division, SV Vonderort, Marco Kwiotek was arrested by the police after conceding 43 goals in a single match.
The Sun UK reports that Kwiotek was arrested at the team’s training ground five days after the match.
Kwiotek was reportedly accompanied off the pitch by two armed policemen, but the police has declined to speak on why he was arrested.
However, his arrested might not be unconnected to match fixing which has been a regular occurrence in German lower divisions.
