Tony Amokoedo and Chibuizor Ukaibe, the Leadership Newspaper journalists who were re-arrested and detained by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) yesterday, have been slammed with a ten count charge of forgery.
The journalists were dragged before Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Both of them were arrested last week for publishing a report which portrayed the FG has giving a directive to attack party leaders of opposition parties.
The FG, however, claimed the document was forged demanding that the journalist disclose their source of information.
The journalists were reportedly re-arrested on Monday by the police and charged to court on Tuesday.
The journalists had sued the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, claiming the sum of N10 million each for breach of their fundamental human right.
