It looks like President Muhammadu Buhari is aware that the National leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu is angry with him and so he’s making moves to pacify the Jagaban.
Buhari is said to be considering some measures that would cement his relationship with Tinubu after the crack over the way the National Assembly leadership crisis was managed.
According to Nigerian Tribune, sources close to the APC confirmed that Tinubu’s camp was angry because Buhari failed to back its strategies.
It was further revealed that Tinubu was particularly angered by the fact that Buhari did not make good his promise to address APC legislators at the International Conference Centre on June 9, leading to the emergence of Bukola Saraki as Senate president.
A source has now told Vanguard that Buhari is considering giving Tinubu four ministerial slots, to compensate for the loss of speaker and Senate president.
But some leaders are urging Buhari to call Tinubu’s bluff, having apparently assumed the position of party leader.
“A number of some hardliners in the party are insisting that Buhari should ignore anything from Tinubu, believing that the party can do without him,” a source in the party said.
Anybody advising PMB to ignoreTinubu doesnt know what he is doing! How could anybody dismiss the jagaban with a wave of hand? Impossible. The fact is that Buhari and Tinubu need each other and neither of them can succeed without the other! They fought for victory together and they must stay together to administer nigeria together for sustainable development and change. Nor matter what, a house divided against himself cant stand! Dont mind Saraki and Dogara, they are people desperate for power and limelight! Dogara had already started flying with private jet!
