Boluwatife Balogun, popularly known as Champz, is a 15-year-old musician and son of Afrobeat legend Wizkid, who releases music in the Afro-fusion, UK rap, grime, and Afro-swing styles.
Champz’s interest in music began in 2021, when he was 10, and he was making beats; however, he first came into the musical limelight in 2025 when he put out the snippet of one of his songs, and soon after, followed by the release of his EP, “Champions Arrival,” which did numbers on the Nigerian charts and gave him the title of the “Youngest Nigerian Artist” to hit number 1 on the Apple Music Nigeria charts within five hours.
Following his success with his debut EP, Champz also became the youngest Nigerian with over a million monthly listeners on Spotify, and one of the most notable breakout stars in Nigeria in 2025. In 2026, Boluwatife released his second EP titled “Young Poet.”
