The 2017 Edition of the yearly Holy Ghost Congress organised by The Redeemed Christian Church of God kicks off today. As usual, the Holy Ghost Congress will hold at the Redemption Camp, Km 46, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The Holy Ghost Congress which started as an all-night event on December 18th, 1998 at Lekki Beach near Lagos has grown into a week long extravaganza and reported by CNN to be estimated to draw over 6 million people.
The Congress which has been themed “Songs of Victory” starts today 4th December and will last until Sunday 10th December 2017. The Holy Ghost Congress will be hosting members and non-members of the church from over 196 countries where the church is present and other people who would be attending for various spiritual reasons.
Speakers at this year’s Holy Ghost Congress include Pastor and Mrs E.A Adeboye, Bishop Wale Oke, Rev. J.A Olaiya, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Pastor Bamidele Sturdivant, Rev. Moses Aransiola, Pastor Charles Achonwa, Prophet S.K Abiara, Bishop Tudor Bismark amongst several others.
The event will not only feature sermons as there are special sessions built for various sectors of life and will be handled by seasoned professionals. They include such topics such as: Affordable diet for good health; Identifying and operating a profitable retail business; Preservation of agricultural produce; Small-scale vegetable farming; The ABC of personal and family security; Managing family finances in a depressed economy; and The pitfalls on the journey to marriage.
Events scheduled to hold from Monday 4th – Wednesday 6th December will hold at the Old Auditorium while those from 7th December till 10th December 2017 will hold at the New Auditorium with viewpoints all over the Redemption camp.
