After clash with DSS officials, EFCC leaves Oke, Ekpeyong’s houses

Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have left Mamman Nasir street, Asokoro, Abuja, where they clashed with some Department of State Services (DSS) operatives on Tuesday.

The DSS officials had prevented the anti-corruption agency from arresting Ita Ekpeyong, former director-general of DSS, and Ayo Oke, sacked director-general of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).

Ekpeyong is being investigated over his alleged role in the arms scam involving Sambo Dasuki, former national security adviser (NSA).

While Oke was summoned over the $43 million discovered in an apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos.

On Wednesday, there were no EFCC officials and policemen on the road leading to their houses.

However, armed DSS operatives were seen at Ekpeyong’s residence.
