The Federal Government on Wednesday explained why former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki is yet to be released, despite ECOWAS court order demanding his release yesterday.
ECOWAS court on Tuesday had ordered the immediate release of Dasuki, as well as a N10 million compensation paid to him.
The court had dismissed allegations of economic crimes and firearms against the former NSA.
Justice Nwoke had said due process was not followed in his prosecution, stating that his detention without trial was illegal.
But Salihu Isah, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Attorney General of Nigeria, Abubakar Malami said, “We cannot just react. We will first of all study the judgement to understand its content before taking a stand.”
