Meet the man who makes millions and drives a taxi

A.J. Francis is an American Football player. He is set to earn $510,000 (N102,000,000) this year as a reserve defensive tackle for the Miami Dolphins. A.J. Francis is also a taxi driver on the side.

Yes, a taxi driver.

He wanted some extra spending money, so in April he became a driver for hire with Uber, making $40 to $50 an hour.
“I’m not putting all my eggs in one basket,” Francis said following the Dolphins’ offseason practice Monday. “Where I’m from, when you have a job, where are you when that job is over?”

Can you imagine a Nigerian bank director driving taxis in his free time? Yeah, me neither.

The outgoing Francis said the job suits him because he enjoys meeting people. He hopes to pursue a broadcasting career after football, so he polishes his interviewing skills by videotaping conversations with passengers, and posts them on YouTube.
“He’s a talker,” said his wife, Tatiana, who married Francis in March. “He’ll talk your ear off about anything.”

I bet his wife side-eyes him every morning he goes out the house to his second job.

You can’t knock his hustle, however. He is clearly a hard worker.
