Wizkid gets his first Grammy award nominationWizkid X Drake

For featuring on Drake’s album, Views, which has been nominated for Album of the Year, Wizkid has been credited as a featured artiste in the nomination category for the song, One Dance.

In Grammy tradition, the Album of the Year category recognises the artiste’s performance as well as the overall contributions of featured artistes, producer(s), recording engineer(s) and/or mixer(s).

Meanwhile…

Drake and Wizkid’s hit track, One Dance did not get a Grammy nomination despite the success of the song.

Views was recently named as music streaming app, Spotify’s most streamed album in 2016.

Beyonce leads with 9 nominations at the 59th Grammys

The 59th Grammy awards nomination list was released yesterday and Beyoncé is leading with 9 nominations.

Beyonce is to go head to head with Adele and Drake for Album of the Year and with Adele again for Record of the Year.

The Formation video was nominated in the Best Music Video category and Freedom is up for Best Rap/Sung performance.

British singer, Adele got five nominations for her album, 25 while Drake and Rihanna each get eight nominations.

The Grammys will hold on February 12 at the Staples Center and will be hosted by James Corden.

Superstar blogger and now media mogul, Linda Ikeji has a fantastic taste in expensive cars.

She proves this again as she dumps her 2014 Range Rover Sport for a 2016 Range Rover autobiography.

Her brother, Peks Ikeji shared photos of the old and new cars on his Instagram and praised his sister for her hardwork mentioning that the car is well deserved.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI-Miami) has criticised rapper, Nicki Minaj for posting a video of herself mocking a mentally ill woman on her Instagram.

According to NAMI, the clip is an invasion of the woman’s privacy and “nobody would make fun of a cancer patient, and mental illness is an illness like any other”.

Nicki Minaj is yet to respond and has not taken down the video.
