D’banj joins MTN?

On Monday morning, the NET reported that D’banj had ‘signed a deal’ with another telecoms giant, MTN.

It went further to reveal the company and the singer’s music publishing company, DKM are working on a project supported by the Bank of Industry.

The former Globacom ambassador then announced the reported collaboration with MTN on the DKM project titled C.R.E.A.M supported by the the Bank of Industry via his Instagram page in the evening.

In light of this, the relationship between Dbanj and MTN looks more of a ‘partnership’ than an ambassadorial one. However only time will tell if the two have something more up their sleeves.

Rita Dominic gets the stick for soliciting for funds to save Nollywood colleague

We are not sure if Rita Dominic expected this sort of reaction would have followed when she put up the Instagram post to help save ailing Nollywood colleague Leo Mezie  – who is reportedly down with a kidney problem- with funds for his treatment.

It appeared quite a number of people felt the actress and other A-list Nollywood stars such as Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and Genevieve Nnaji should donate the funds to save Mezie; as they are ‘capable enough,’ instead of soliciting funds from the general public.

Koffi Olomide returns home after assault scandal

Congolese musican, Koffi Olomide has returned home to his family after being reportedly granted bail.

The singer was deported from Kenya after he physically abused one of his female dancers at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi and then arrested and charged to court on his return to Congo.

Reports had it that the singer was given a 1-year jail term.

Word from the grapevine earlier spewed saying the singer was let out on bail after prosecutors saw him as a no flight risk.

Well the reports of him being let out on bail might just be true as the singer is now back at home with his family. The singer shared photos of him, his wife and children at home on his Facebook page; thanking fans for their support.
