Entertainment Roundup: ‘NYSC dismisses Davido’; Women dominate 2019 Grammy nominations | Other top stories

Here’s everything you missed in entertainment over the weekend and others that unravelled while you slept – and are still buzzing today.

NYSC reportedly dismisses Davido

Davido in NYSC camp during the compulsory three-week orientation

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has dismissed singer, David Adeleke, known as Davido, for violating camp rules, Punch Newspaper reports.

The Newspaper quoted a source as saying that, “the NYSC was constrained to “dekit” Davido for violating the rules guiding conduct and activities in the camp. As a matter of fact, he absconded because he was away from the camp without permission. That prompted the Corps to issue him a query which was sent from Abuja. So, he is no longer a serving corps member.”

This somewhat confirms what Davido typed in the comment section of an Instagram post by one Adesegun Adebayo Adeosun who had posted his letter of commendation for outstanding performance from NYSC and the singer typed, “Nah so dem cancel my own.”
