Err, not good: Penis-like toy for kids ruin Christmas for parents

by Chinwe Okafor

It is supposed to be a frost maker that kids get to play with but the manufactures at Hasbro Inc. had a different idea of what it should look like and somehow that didn’t please its intending users.

Since its release, the item has been fielding a host of complaints from parents especially this holiday season as most of them wrapped it as gift items as they were horrified to find that the “extruder tool” found in the Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe Cake Mountain Playset looks exactly like a penis.

The phallic toy initially gained publicity in November, but a lot more angry participants showed up on the Play-Doh Facebook page post-Christmas, after kids nationwide had opened their gifts.

According to reports, Staff is deleting photos of the toy, but Uproxx screenshot several comments, including one from a mom claiming the veiny-looking object “ruined Christmas.”

The extruder tool is meant to help decorate Play-Doh cakes, meaning that Play-Doh “frosting” is meant to be pushed out of the tip of the tool. Reviews of the tool has emerged as a lot of complains include that the extruder tool is a “pain to clean” and sometimes ends up with clay stuck inside that “you have to blow out with your mouth.”
