Popular American singer, Justin Bieber has joined the league of celebrities accused of sexual assault. In a recent report, two ladies shared on different occasions how the ‘Yummy’ singer assaulted them. However, the singer has denied all claims as he even provided receipts to back his claims.

On June 20, a woman identified as Danielle, made a Twitter post about her alleged assault and detailing how she met Bieber at an Austin Music Event in March 2014. In her tweets which she later brought down and account deleted, she also shared how the singer allegedly sexually assaulted her. Another lady, Kadi, seconded Danielle’s claims as she also recounted events with Justin Bieber that led to the singer sexually assaulting her.

Reacting to the news, Bieber quickly slammed the ladies as he pointed out that he had no contact with the ladies accusing him of sexually assaulting them. However, many social media users are applauding the singer for his speedy response to the matter, unlike many celebrities who wait around for the issue to build up. On Twitter, many fans and followers also reacted to the trend.

While some appreciated the singer’s enthusiasm in defending himself, a few others also pointed out that it is important for relevant authorities to look into the case, stressing that victims get intimidated and back down on their earlier claims on many occasions.

Some users also tweeted that a lot of times, these accusations are false and that the singer was spot on, by including receipts in his reply, just in time before the matter escalated. The ladies who accused him have however, taken down their accounts.

Fans and followers from Nigeria who followed this trend, also noted that Justin Bieber’s response to the allegations against him should be a template for many Nigerian celebrities that have been accused of rape in the past. While the police are yet to be involved in the Bieber case, the singer shared that moving forward, he will be seeking legal counsel in handling the accusations levied against him.
