Gay marriage was legalized in England and Wales on Saturday, March 29, allowing same-sex couples to troop in large numbers to court houses to make their union official minutes after the gay ban was lifted.
British Prime minister, David Cameron tweeted a congratulatory message to the soon -to-be-wedded and wedded couples of the same sex, calling it a historic day.
Congratulations to the gay couples who have already been married – and my best wishes to those about to be on this historic day.
