Exclusive! Tribute to CD John – Debut album to be released for late comedian’s memorial

The Management of Fahrenheit Entertainments has exclusively revealed to YNaija that a full musical album by the late comedian, CD John will be released under the music imprint on the comedian’s first memorial. Speaking exclusively to YNaija, Ikechukwu Monyke, Fahrenheit Entertainments’ Executive Director, revealed his record label cum management company have the exclusive right to material recoded by the deceased comedian who was about to foray into music just before he passed.

“We have a fully recoded album by CD John, and we will be releasing the album on his first memorial,” Ikechukwu said. “Right now we are working on a couple of remixes with his old colleagues who want to be on the album as well as a few other mainstream acts.”

He also revealed that a single from the yet to be titled LP will be released soon.

“Presently we are still contemplating on which of three tracks to release first as his debut single. We have one featuring Mike from the Midnight Crew, another with Fahrenheit’s Babeeboi plus a third track to choose from,” he revealed.

CD John, real name John Chijioke, died during the wee hours of Thursday March 24, 2011, after he ran into a stationary car with Lagos State government registration license plate on the Third Mainland Bridge three days before his birthday.
