In this 2011 message, Reverend Sam Adeyemi reminds Christians of eternity.
“If they want to be skeptical, they will be skeptical; If they want to believe they will believe,” Pastor Sam, as he is fondly called, says in this gripping message about the existence of Hell-fire. “Every human being has the power of choice. In the face of mounting evidence and solid proof, they will still dispute.
“So the question today is: what do you think will be the greatest achievement of your life? All the things you run after to achieve—the houses, the money, the education—at the point at which you die, everything goes back to zero! This life is nothing, it is just a brief interruption in eternity. The bible describes it as a vapour that appears for a little while, and vanishes.”
He shares from Matthew 25:41 Jesus’s statement about people who will be cast into Hell, “created for the devil and his angels.”
Not quite the message you’d expect this beautiful Sunday morning? But if you are a Christian, then sometimes these messages are necessary reminders of the basic pillars of the faith – that there is heaven and then there is hell.
As believers say to each other as they work their salvation with fear and trembling: “remain rapturable”!
