Falz The Bahd Guy speaks on MTV snub

What a wonderful year it has been for the Bahd guy.

Bagging mouthwatering endorsement deals and releasing a dynamic rap album, Falz was unarguably on a roll this year.

This made a few people wonder how he missed the cut for MTV’s hottest Nigerian artistes in 2015.

However, the rapper isn’t perturbed about the omission.

In a brief chat with YNaija, Falz said he’s content with being given a worthy mention for doing well this year.

He said: ”They mentioned my name in the worthy of mentions list that is, the people they wanted to put in the list but didn’t put in the list. I’m glad that at least they recognised me and they recognised the work I put in this year. I’m not the one to dictate how hot I was in the year. I appreciate the fact that I put in work this year and I was recognised for that.”

On why he chose to be more serious on his new Stories that touch album, Falz said: ”Over the course of the last year, I have come to be known as a crazy and funny guy. So I thought it was about time I showed people another part of me; the artistic side of me and that’s what I was trying to show with the album”.

Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana was recently nominated for the best actor in a comedy (Movie/TV series) for his role alongside Funke Akindele in comical sitcom, Jenifa at the AVMCA which is a first for any African rapper.

Speaking on this major feat, Falz said: “It is exceptional and I didn’t expect it but it is definitely something that is good. Acting is something I’m going to continue so I’m happy about it.”
