A 49-year-old man has been arrested in Ghana after reports that he stabbed his daughter to death.
Kwesi Moore, an accountant, is said to have stabbed Ama Aidoo in her stomach after a disagreement concerning a piece of family land.
The accused has been arraigned before a Magistrate court and has been ordered to be remanded in police custody until the determination of the case.
According to reports:
Prosecuting,Police Inspector Charles Anku told the Cape Coast Circuit Court,presided over by Mrs. Florence Otu that,on January 1,Ama Aidoo visited her father at his residence in Saltpond to discuss family issues concerning a land Kwesi had sold to co-worker.
Prosecution said,the argument resulted in an argument between the two that made Kwesi angry. Kwesi entered his room and came out with a knife and threatened to stab Ama if she does not leave hos room.
He said Kwesi tried to push Ama out of the room but she refused to leave,insisting that the issue be resolved before she leaves. A struggle ensued and in the process Ama got stabbed in the stomach.
Ama was rushed to the Saltpond District hospital where she met her untimely death on arrival.
A complain was lodged which informed the arrest of Kwesi who was charged with the offence.
