In case that sounds familiar, Rock in the Park is the second edition of Church in the Park; a once in a year experience put together by Joshua Ville – a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). The event features a wide range of artistes, exhibitions and the mother of them all – food.
Rock in the Park, however, takes a slight drift from the previous year both in the name, list of artistes and of course, the amount of fun to be experienced. However, the concept remains the same – having Church in an unusual way, taking fellowship outside the traditional four walls and reaching out to those who would not normally consider attending church on a Sunday.
The event plans to hold on the 27th of May, 2018 at the Muri Okunola Park between the hours of 2pm and 10pm.
The headlining artistes for this event are Folabi Nuel, Segun Funmi, RepJ360, IkayRocks, Nana Aisha, Rock of Ages Band, Phrance and Gospel Force.
Away from the usual long list of cliche worship events permeate through most weekends for the rest part of the year, this might be a great time having fun, building friendships and of all, experiencing God.
