The drama surely has not ended. But there was temporary respite for embattled member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Farouk Lawan.
Lawan, who has been in custody since Thursday when he answered the police invitation to come and answer questions regarding his role in the $620, 000 bribery scandal, was released on Saturday. However the police has warned that unless the alleged $620, 000 bribe which he has admitted he collected, is produced this week, he would be invited again.
He was granted bail by the Head of the Police Special Task force investigating the matter, CP Ali Amodu at about 4pm. One of his counsels, Mr Rickey Tarfa (SAN) was present.
