The National Secretary of the Meyatti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Baba Othman Ngelzarma, said the neglect of Fulani herdsmen by government was the reason for the continued crisis.

Ngelzarma said this on Thursday, while speaking at Channels Television Sunrise Daily programme.

While saying that perpetrators of the violence should be arrested and prosecuted, he, however, noted that the Fulani herdsmen have been severally killed and kidnapped by farmers.

He called on the National Assembly to pass the grazing bill so as to curtail the spread of violence.

The association’s secretary also expressed displeasure at the way the media has portrayed the Fulani herdsmen.
