Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has confirmed he has agreed on a new two-and-half-year contract extension with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). Gernot Rohr has been in charge of the Super Eagles since 2016 and qualified the team for the 2018 World Cup in Russia with ease.

Gernor Rohr also led the three-time African champions to finish third at Africa Cup of Nations in 2019 in Egypt. The 66-year-old Franco-German’s current deal ends in June and he has been in discussions with the federation over a renewal since January.

The NFF gave him new conditions in his contract namely residing in Nigeria, being paid in Nigerian currency and grooming local talent from the Nigerian Football league, conditions he has since agreed.

31 more COVID-19 patients discharged in Lagos

The Lagos State Ministry of Health has announced the recovery and discharge of 31 COVID-19 patients, comprising 12 females and 19 males, after they tested negative for the virus twice.

In a tweet thread posted on its verified handle, the ministry said 13 of the patients were discharged from Onikan, 11 from Gbagada, five patients from Agidingbi, one from Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, and one from LUTH Isolation Centre.

2 coronavirus patients discharged in Osun

Two Coronavirus patients have been discharged in Osun after recovering from the disease, testing negative twice for the virus. The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu, who made this known in a statement on Sunday, also confirmed two new cases of Coronavirus in the state.  The two new cases bring the number of confirmed cases in the state to 44.
