An Agriculture Development Bank in Gashua town, Bade Council area of Yobe State, was attacked by a group of armed men on Saturday, leaving two people dead.
The two dead men were identified by the state commissioner of police, Patrick Egbuniwe, as one policeman and one of the militants.
The police said that the militants that staged the attack are suspected to belong to the Boko Haram sect. The activities of the sect have caused widespread panic in residents of the region and sorely affected the economy of the North and Nigeria as a whole.
