A woman has been found hanging from a tree around a mechanic workshop in Magodo, Lagos.
According to unconfirmed reports, she was a Liberian, identified as Kate and she was reportedly sick after testing positive for HIV.
The deceased was found hanging from the tree on the morning of Thursday, 11 September, by passersby and residents, some of whom queued to take pictures of the lifeless body.
A neighbour who claimed to be familiar with her said, “She has been finding it difficult to live after that(HIV), but I never knew she would commit suicide. One of her friends also gave her money to return to Liberia to go and meet her husband, but she couldn’t because of the Ebola outbreak in that country.”
Taking your life will never heal you of HIV… Thousands of people are living with it and with proper management, one can even raise kids that are HIV Negative… It’s really a Foolish act…
