American singer, Mariah Carey, and her actor cum entertainer husband, Nick Cannon, are the cover stars for the Ebony Magazine February 2014 issue.

The couple who got married in 2008, have twins – Moroccan and Monroe, both 2 years old.

Cannon, has revealed that he knew the America’s Got Talent host was the one for him when he discovered how spiritual she is, saying that it was her values which showed him that she was the woman of his dreams.

 According to Daily Mail:

Speaking in Ebony‘s February 2014 issue, he said: ‘It was early on when I found out how spiritual she was, and we had conversations about kids and how to live life. 

‘For her to share these values, it instantly let me know this is the person I’ve always wanted.’

Nick, 33, and Mariah, 43, posed together for the cover of the publication in matching red outfits.

Nick chose a suit while Mariah smouldered in a low-cut dress as they got close in a pool.  Mariah also opened up about their family life to the magazine, revealing Monroe is taking after her in the diva stakes.

‘The other night I had on a ruby and diamond necklace and earrings. Ms. Monroe looked at me and said, “Where’s my necklace?”’, she said.

While they are happy to share pictures of their adorable children on social media, Nick insists the twins won’t be child stars. 

‘Me personally, I wouldn’t put my kids on television. But to each his own. Most aspiring child actors or child stars have a passion for it. 

But as easy as it is for me to say that I wouldn’t put my kids in it, if I saw that they really really wanted to do and they had the drive, then I would fully support it. As long as there’s balance at home, then they could do whatever they wanted to do.’

Nick and Mariah have been working hard to keep the romance alive in their marriage. 

They  lived out a fairy-tale wedding at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California in May as they renewed their vows on their fifth anniversary and celebrated the twins’ second birthday.

Mariah was previously married to music mogul Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1998.
