Hummels to United for €20m? That’s garbage! – Klopp rubbishes speculation about defender and Reus

Hummels-Reus-Klopp

Borussia Dortmund’s manager Jurgen Klopp, has emphatically denied that Mat Hummels and Marco Reus will leave the club this summer.

Hummels has been linked with a 20m move to Manchester United in the past few days, while Liverpool and Barcelona are reportedly monitoring Reus.

“Both will stay here this season. There is no tendency they’d want to be elsewhere,” Klopp insisted.

“And if papers mention numbers like ’20million euros’ you know that it is garbage anyways.”

Speaking ahead of the new season, Klopp said he was hoping to win silverware this term, after a topsy-turvy campaign last year.

He said: “Of course it has to be a goal to win a trophy at the end of the season. The main goal will be to qualify for the CL again.”
