While everyone else might be ambivalent about the Coronavirus pandemic, show runners seem to be having blast. At no point in the history of the internet have we had all the unused time just waiting to be channelled into catching up with our favourite shows. ‘Hunter’s Game’, the romantic thriller directed by wunderkind Michael ‘Amapsalmist’ Akinrogunde is finally on Youtube and doing serious numbers.
Best news Fam!! #HuntersGame has crossed 100K views on YouTube! ?????
For context, less than 2 weeks ago, we were at 15K views with just about 500 subscribers. This morning, I woke up to 103,000 views and over 2,000 subscribers. No ads! No campaigns! A madness!

Oge Nwobia, who wrote and produced the series, was one of the first independent show runners to devise her own method for recouping the costs of making the series, which managed to get the talents of Ade Laoye and O.C Ukeje (who has been very quiet this year) to star in lead roles. Nwobia hosted all episodes of the season in a locked server and sold access tickets to view the whole thing. It’s not too late to get into the seductive world that Oge Nwobia builds by checking out the first episode, uploaded on Youtube for your viewing pleasure. And if you are hooked, like we were, make the leap and commit your part to seeing Hunter’s Game become a full fledged series.
