The atrium of the Silverbird Galleria was brought to life on Sunday 19th June, 2011 as prolific Nollywood producer Emem Isong premiered ‘Kiss &Tell”, the latest effort from her Royal Arts Academy. The stars came out in their numbers and glittered with a wattage befitting of such a high profile event.
It was an evening of glamour and sophistication as Nollywood A-listers Stephanie Okereke, Uche Jombo, Chioma Chukwuka Akpothia, Fred Amata, former Mr Nigeria Bryan Okpara and others dazzled on the red carpet in a show that lasted for hours. The cast and crew of the romantic comedy were also on the scene to celebrate, after working so hard on the project.
Nollywood’s hottest leading man Joseph Benjamin took time out to chat with YNaija, revealing that the script drew him to the movie as it was funny and refreshingly different, ensuring that he would be seen in a different light. He also revealed that working with Monalisa Chinda was a pleasurable experience, and he wouldn’t mind doing it again. Lady of the moment Monalisa, who took on double duties as star and executive producer said she was proud of the film and will be seen taking up more responsibilities in the future.
The screening began about two hours behind schedule, but even this did not stop the crowd that turned up as both screening rooms exceeded their seating capacities and a number of guests had to see the movie on their feet.
Kiss & Tell is currently in cinemas.
