After months of speculation about Dr. Dora Akunyili’s health condition, the former Information Minister and NAFDAC Director General has finally responded to the rumours.
In her reply to an online publication, Akunyili admitted that she was ill but is now fit and ready for the National Conference where she is a delegate.
According to Akunyili, “I just came out of a major sickness, for which I thank Almighty God for delivering me.

“I am well now but only need time to put on more weight. However, I am strong enough for this Conference and I look forward to collaborating with other delegates to chart the way for a better Nigeria,” she reportedly added.
