Femi Fani-Kayode, outspoken former Aviation Minister, has demanded for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, Director of pirate radio station, Radio Biafra.
Kanu, Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was reportedly arrested by Department of State Services operatives in Lagos, on Saturday.
Although the DSS never confirmed his arrest, the Radio Biafra Director was said to have been picked up, as he flew into Nigeria from his base in the UK.
Fani-Kayode wrote on his Twitter page on Monday afternoon, that it’s against the law to keep Kanu in detention, without charges for more than 3 days.
Consequently, he called on President Buhari to release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
I call on @MBuhari to release Nnamdi Kanu. It is unlawful to keep anyone in detention for more than 3 days without charging him to court.
