Award winning novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was in the UK recently and appeared on Channel 4 News. Adichie speaks to news anchor, Jon Snow about her new book; Americanah and why it mirrors some of the central issues of her own life; race, immigration and the power of hair.
“Nigeria is home for me, Nigeria is what I care about, but I also like that I can leave Nigeria,” she said.
Adichie’s Orange prize winning novel ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’ is set for release as a motion picture later this year.
