How I led my gang to hijack bullion van with N200m – Billionaire kidnapper, Evans

More revelations of the criminal activities of dreaded billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudi Onuamadike popularly known as Evans have continued to surface since his arrest.

The suspect has disclosed that he and his gang once hijacked a bullion van and took N200m from it.

He said the bullion van robbery was carried out on the Aba-Port-Harcourt Road and was one of three of such.

He told journalists on Friday, “In 2007, I travelled to South Africa to deal in drugs and returned to Lagos the following year after a customer, who did not want to pay for a drug I supplied him, shot me on the shoulder.

“With the little money I had from my trip to South Africa, I came back to Nigeria and a friend of mine, Kingsley, introduced me to one of his gang members known as Too-Much-Money in Abia State.

“Too-Much-Money got me involved in the bullion van robbery. We hijacked a tipper we found on the Aba-Port Harcourt Road to intercept the bullion van.

“We forced the driver and his police escort to open the van.  We got N80m from the van and I was given N1.8m as my share.

“Another operation was in Enugu where I met a gang leader called ND. We adopted the same tactic to attack another bullion van containing N200m. When we wanted to share the proceeds, ND collected our guns and gave us N200, 000 each.”

Evans had been arrested in one of his Magodo mansions after evading arrest for years.

He was said to have been a notorious kidnapper who collects ransom in dollars.

  4. even if there are several thieves out there walking freely in the streets, the one they caught is the thief we know. who ever that is protesting that Evans should be freed, should first of all come out and tell Nigerians and the world first. He is a criminal and he should be treated as one no mercy.

  5. Evans did not come from a poor family. His should have seen his father as a role model; he was one of the earliest millionaires in this country doing legit business. Evans was born a criminal, he started officially by stealing from his master. Make una stop all this poor man wey still money matter for here abeg. more than half of our population is poor, how many of them the still? if e dey ur blood, u just can’t stop it, after making billions n investing, he is still an unrepented criminal

  6. From what I’ve gathered Evans has been stealing before 2/3 of the men in National assembly became politicians or even had an opportunity to loot. So even if it’s first Thief first catch he would still come first before many more. 30+ years of everyday crime is not an excuse at all.

  7. Haha Even for were them the shoot and kill convicted criminals, other criminals still the steal cars and bikes right there so I’m not surprise sey some people come here the provoke sey them catch Evans, his like are definitely here too. For una info, na who thief them catch them the bring for news, who them never fit catch them no fit bring for news. Remember Evans have been stealing for more than a decade but it’s now he has been caught. every criminal has his or her judgment day. Thief na thief
