Inside job: Man charged for kidnapping his uncle in Lagos

A man was arraigned recently in connection with the kidnapping of his uncle.

The prosecutor from the State Security Service, Peter Okerimodu told Chief Magistrate, Adeola Adedayo how Dominic Nwaezeapu was lured out of his house to meet a nephew. That was where he was abducted.

According to reports, the nephew who operates a lottery business at No. 20, Titilayo Adedoyin Streets, Omole Estate, Phase I, Ikeja did not operate alone but others are still at large.

The accused person was attested on April 12, at Mowe on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on a two-count charge of conspiracy and kidnapping.

Okerimodu was said to have presented a remand notice to the court.

Adedayo ignoring the accused’s plea, ordered him to be kept behind bars, pending advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions.

The case was then adjourned to May 27.
