On the 20th of August, all roads will lead to THE DOME, Admiralty Way, Lekki for the first ever ‘Seasons: A blend of Fashion, Music and Drama’ .
COUNTER KULTURE, a movement birthed as a platform committed to revealing positive aspects of entertainment to the Nigerian Youth by celebrating Entrepreneurship, Lifestyle, Fashion, Music and Drama. The first edition of COUNTER KULTURE was held on December 16, 2007.
This year’s show is themed “The Seasons” and will showcase pieces that demonstrate the three seasons; dry, rainy and sunny using appropriate colors, fabrics and accessories. It will be headlined by Jewel by Lisa/ J Label, a phenomenal designer that has revolutionized ethnic fabrics and made the Nigerian fashion industry significant on the world stage. Joining Jewel by Lisa is a selection of six emerging and talented designers who will be expected to interpret the seasons through their creative collections.
According to the organisers, “We intend to showcase fashion from a unique perspective as it will be fused with drama and music creatively expressed through the use of different styles and fabrics.”
The dry run takes place on the 18th and19th of August while the D day is on the 20th of August 2011. Admission is free.
