Jeff Sessions to testify about dealings with Russian Officials

It’s just Monday and we’re already seeing what could be the biggest surprise of the week from Washington. US Attorney General Jeff Sessions just offered to testify under oath before the Senate Intelligence Committee. The Attorney General has been under fire for his involvement with the Russians.

Just last week, ex-FBI Director, James Comey claims he reported Trump’s dealings with him to the Attorney General.

Jeff Sessions was previously scheduled to testify before a joint appropriation subcommittee on Tuesday but he will now appear before the Intelligence Committee instead.

“In light of reports regarding Mr. 0Comey’s recent testimony … it is important that I have an opportunity to address these matters in the appropriate forum,” Sessions wrote in a letter to the joint appropriation subcommittee.

Deputy Attorney Gen. Rod Rosenstein will represent him before the appropriations committee.
