Manchester United are reportedly set to re-sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the striker showed signs of making a speedy recovery from injury.
Ibrahimovic, 35, tore his anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments after a nasty fall in United’s Europa League quarter-final clash with Anderlecht in April.
He was ruled out for a minimum of nine months and United opted against extending his stay at the club, instead releasing him on July 1st.
United agreed to allow Ibrahimovic to continue his rehabilitation at the club while he was injured and he’s astonished staff at the club with his speedy recovery, according to the Sun.
There is now a sense that the Swede could return far sooner than predicted and United believe he could feature as early as October.
