A native doctor in Delta was yesterday beaten black and blue and then burnt to death by an angry mob.

The victim, identified simply as Baba Emeka, is said to have had sex with a woman who had sought help from him to repair her marriage.

Baba Emeka, instead of helping the woman however, took advantage of her and had intercourse with her.

Speaking on the issue, the divisional police officer in the area, who preferred anonymity, confirmed that the native doctor was set ablaze following evidence of sexual intercourse with a married woman who had sought previous assistance from him when she had differences with her husband, adding that some persons had been arrested for interrogation.

LEADERSHIP reliably gathered that trouble started for the self-acclaimed native doctor who specializes in preparing love potions, last Tuesday, when he allegedly prepared charms for a housewife whose husband dumped her over six years ago for inexplicable issues and she recently reconciled with the husband.

It was further gathered that the charms prepared to make the woman attracted to her spouse began to have reverse action as the woman began to consistently dream about the native doctor having sex with her.

Sources said on the fateful Tuesday, the native doctor invited the woman for another set of charms after she had complained that the initial charms did not work as expected and when she got there, he hypnotized her and began to make love to her.
