A woman was arrested for breaking into her mother’s house and robbing her.
The woman wore a ski mask as she entered her mother’s house. She then repeatedly zapped her mother with a Taser, while stealing her mother’s 3.5 carat diamond engagement ring which is worth a whopping $40,000.
36-year-old Julie Franck, from Chicago, stole the expensive ring along with $200 cash, a debit card and a few credit cards, before heading out to the waiting Smart car driven by her accomplice.
According to court documents, 36-year-old Julie P. Franck of the 2900 block of N. Central Park
Avenue was wearing a ski mask so her mother would not recognize her and she zapped her mother with a Taser 15 times during the attack on October 9, in the 1700 block of North Marshfield Avenue.
Her downfall came when a witness to the break-in pulled the ski mask off, and immediately recognized Franck.
Franck was arrested and charged with armed robbery for the stolen ring, debit cards, credit cards and $200 in cash from her mother. A judge set her bail at $300,000.
