The bloodthirsty terrorists who laid siege to the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya turned the shopping center into a house of horrors, mutilating their victims in gruesome fashion.
A doctor told Kenya’s The Star newspaper that Al Shabab militants castrated hostages, gouged out eyes and cut off limbs.
And that was just the beginning of the nightmarish cruelty of the radical group aligned with Al Qaeda that made its move Saturday.
“They removed…eyes, ears, nose. They get your hand and sharpen it like a pencil then they tell you to write your name with the blood,” said the doctor, who was not named in the report cited by England’s The Independent
“They drive knives inside a child’s body. Actually, if you look at all the bodies, unless those ones that were escaping, fingers are cut by pliers, the noses are ripped by pliers.”
Other nightmarish accounts of the attack described Shabab militants decapitating hostages and throwing heads out windows.
At least 67 people died and 175 were injured in the coordinated assault on the upscale mall that stands as a monument to Kenya’s relative prosperity.
The siege ended after four days, but not before at least three stories of the mall collapsed.
Dozens remain missing.
