Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura and the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) observed ju’umat at the Aso Rock mosque on Friday, TheCable reports.
This comes after the Senate had on Wednesday rejected Magu’s nomination on the request of the DSS.
The lawmakers had voted against Magu’s nomination after receiving a letter from the DSS stating that he was unfit to lead the anti-graft agency.
“Magu has failed integrity test and will constitute a liability to the anti-corruption drive of the present administration,” the letter read.
