Make Music Lagos 2017: Mass Appeal, Street Studio, Concerts, Learn to Play featuring KSA, Bez, Omawumi kicks off this weekend

Get your dancing shoes ready; your vocals set; your ears ready as Nigeria’s leading FREE multi-venue celebration of World Music Day, Make Music Lagos, kicks off on Sunday 18th June 2017 with the Lagos Mass Appeal which will feature a 100+ musicians in large, single instrument groups playing a music piece (Eko) produced by Wole Oni. Venue is Ikeja City Mall and kick-off time is 2:00pm.

All other #MakeMusicLagos17 events come up all on World Music Day on Wednesday 21st June 2017. These events are:

Street Studio which will bring the magic of DJ mixing and music production under the coordination of music producer, Rotimikeys to Domino’s Pizza/Cold Stone Creamery locations in Yaba & Lekki, Lagos.
Learn to Play which is a partnership with Rainbow Fingers, Pa Oscar, Femi Leye, and Drum Network Africa designed to offer FREE GUITAR & DRUM LESSONS to beginners, lapsed players or old pros looking to learn new tricks. Venue is the Ikeja City Mall.

Concerts featuring over 200 performances will take place in multiple locations across the city of Lagos with the largest taking place at the Balmoral Convention Centre of the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island. Notable names performing include: King Sunny Ade, Omawumi, Bez, Johnny Drille, Adewale Ayuba, Sound Sultan, Jodie, Daddy Showkey, Wole Oni, Pita, Morayo and Folabi.
