Jose Mourinho has started his coaching reign at Manchester United on a bright note, after the Red Devils opened their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 win over Wigan on Saturday.
The Portuguese introduced new signings Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Luke Shaw also got 45 minutes under his belt following his recovery from a broken leg.
United took the lead early in the second half after Will Keane tucked away a pass from Juan Mata.
And Mourinho’s men soon doubled their lead when Andreas Pereira smashed home a sublime finish from inside the penalty area to end the game at 2-0.
Manchester United will play more pre-season matches in the coming days.
