N145: NLC, TUC have issued a final warning to the FG

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), on Friday, called on the Nigerian government to revert the price of fuel to N86 per liter or prepare to face a nationwide strike that will halt the economy of Nigeria.

The NLC made their position known after holding a National Executive Council (NEC) at the Labour House, Abuja. The trade union further said that it would commence a nationwide strike from Wednesday morning, if the price of fuel is reverted by Tuesday.

On its own part, the TUC in a communique signed by its president, Comrade Bobboi Bala Kaigama and Ag general Secretary, Comrade Simeso Amachree, condemned the price increase and also gave the federal government until Wednesday to call labour leaders to a meeting to determine the way forward.
