New Super Eagles coach, Rohr names 23 players for Tanzania clash [See list]

Super Eagles new Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr has invited 23 players, including Chelsea’s John Mikel Obi for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Tafia stars of Tanzania.

Rohr who was named the team coach two weeks ago has invited three goalkeepers, eight defenders, four midfielders and eight forwards for the game scheduled to hold at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday, September 3.

Carl Ikeme and Olympics team stopper, Emmanuel Daniel as well as Ikechukwu Ezenwa are the invited goalkeepers.

Jamiu Alimi joins Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Chidozie Awaziem, Abdullahi Shehu, Musa Muhammed, Elderson Echiejile and Kingsley Madu in the defence.

The forwards are assistant captain Ahmed Musa leading Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Victor Moses, Imoh Ezekiel, Odion Ighalo, Brown Ideye and youngster Victor Osimhen.
