Contrary to reports that the recently appointed Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Hamid Ali, is yet to resume office, he arrived the Customs Headquarters unannounced on Thursday with a couple of aides and headed straight for his office without the knowledge of the Acting CG, John Atte.
He arrived the Headquarters at 11:30 am and left at 11:52 am, spending less than 30 minutes.
Some officers who got wind of it, informed Atte that Ali had arrived and he promptly went to receive Ali, while on his way to the office of the former CG, Dikko Inde.
Upon arrival, Ali was said to have looked around the premises, after which he left the headquarters at 11:52.
