A Nigerian-German man has been jailed in Britain after being caught trying to smuggle more than £200,000 (N53,883,087) worth of cocaine in 83 packages in his body.
The suspect, 57-year-old Charles Ukachukwu Imoh was intercepted by police at Dover’s Eastern Docks.
He told the Police, he was visiting family in London, but after being X-rayed at the hospital, 83 packages were found in his body.
After being tested, the drugs had a purity level of 66 per cent, and an estimated street value of more than £215,000.
Imoh was subsequently arrested and, he pleaded guilty to drug smuggling at Canterbury Crown Court last month.
He was jailed for four years which, and will face automatic deportation, according to the UK Borders Act 2007
