To honour the Late Professor Dora Akunyili, a night of Tributes was held on Monday, 25 August, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano, Onyeka Onwenu, Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, former Ministers of Education and health, Obiageli Ezekwesili, and Prof ABC Nwosu, former military head of state, Yakubu Gowon and other dignitaries attended the event.

Akunyili died on 7 June in an Indian hospital after battling with cancer. Her final burial will hold on Thursday, 28 August in Enugu State.
