Despite a restraining order from the National Industrial Court, a faction of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has sworn that the intended strike action will go on.
According to The Cable, the trade union’s head of information, Benson Upah, said “NLC’s position has not shifted. The strike will go on tomorrow,” he said.
The NLC spokesperson was adamant: “Quote me the strike will go on tomorrow.”
The union also directed its affiliates to mobilize themselves for the strike, noting that a protest will take-off at the NLC’s Federal Capital Secretariat by 8am.
