Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, has gone spiritual, just as his election is being challenged by Dakuku Peterside of the All Progressives Congress.
Wike went to church on Sunday, and while speaking, he said that God will disgrace all the people that are planning to cut short the lifespan of his administration..
The governor addressed the congregation at the Lord’s Chosen Renewal Charismatic Ministry in Port Harcourt.
He said that his victory at the polls was God’s will, adding that it was made possible by the prayers of clerics, including the pastors of the Lord’s Chosen.
Not the votes of the electorate, Mr Wike?
He said: “Those who are fighting and plotting to truncate the lifespan of the mandate freely given to me by the people of Rivers State will be disgraced by the God of the Lord’s Chosen.
“The way the God of the Lord’s Chosen did it on April 11, that is how he will do it again,”
“If you recall, I did say that if I belong to a secret society, I should not win the governorship election of Rivers State.
“By the special grace of God, the pastor prayed for me before the congregation, he prayed for me in private, and he has been praying with me up till now. To the glory of God, the election came and God Almighty triumphed.”
