When an event features stars and executives like Olu and Joke Jacob, Demola Olota, Nkiru Anumudu, Oba Otudeko and Ndidi Nwuneli as guests, one wouldn’t expect a 5-year old to be the star attraction. But that’s exactly what happened on Friday June 8 at the Shell Hall of the Muson Centre.
Guests had turned up in large numbers to celebrate with and support the Chike Okoli Foundation (COF) during its 6th Annual Heart & Soul Gala. There were actors, entertainers, publishing moguls and celebrities in the audience that day and then suddenly the boy star stepped on stage.
Ozzybosco, the 5-year old budding talent charmed the audience with his incredible moves. The kid star strutted and strode on stage with the swagger of a veteran in an all-white stage costume, chanting “I’m a superstar!” Guests were bedazzled. They stood up to catch a glimpse of the toddler who proceeded to do a few stunts before belting out his hit song, “Superstar.” The audience joined him in the rendition. He rounded up his performance by making a personal donation to the Chike Okoli Foundation, a not for profit organization committed to building entrepreneurs and fighting cardiovascular diseases.
Dr Stella Okoli, the Group Managing director of Emzor and Chairman of the Chike Okoli Foundation thanked the guests for their “support for the foundation and for turning up in large numbers to celebrate their achievements in the preceding year.”
